My 1st Born/ My Teacher…..

2 months of bed rest, spotting, migraines, 39 hours of labor and a C-section that ended in blood clots ! This girl put me through the wringer ! But, Justice taught me how to be a Mama!! There’s no experience like real life experience. Having Justice was one of the most exciting and scariest times in my life. At the age of 23, I was learning how to be an adult and finding my way in my career! I read all the books and googled everything but nothing I read could teach me what was innate! I bought all the swaddle blankets (she hated it), we bought an American made custom crib with breathable bumpers (she never slept in it). I was told don’t hold her so much she will be spoiled (yeah right it’s my baby) don’t sleep with her (she slept in our bed until she was 5). I had the subscription to Parents Magazine if it said it we had it! I read “What to Expect When Your Expecting” and had a notebook with notes! My mom bought every book possible for me and the baby!

But Mama listen to me closely! A book can give you ideas and suggestions but your insticist comes into play immediately. 1/2 the stuff the book says you don’t really need!!

So, to all my new Mama’s out there cuddle your babies, inhale there smell, rock them to sleep and fall asleep when they are in your arms if you want (but be careful) and love on them all you can before they can’t fit in your lap anymore! Remember, you will be there mama forever but they will only be in your arms for a short time!

Happy Birthday Baby!!! You are my 🌍!!
